Project Description

For this project I had to collect different types of media samples in order to figure out how to credit them.

I found this image by searching "forest" on Creative Commons. This image has a CC By-Sa 2.0 License, which means you are free to share and adapt but have to give credit and indicate if changes were made.

Animation Sample- GIF

I found this image by searching "animation gif" on Creative Commons. This GIF has a CC By-Sa 3.0 license which means you are free to share and adapt but have to give credit and indicate if changes were made.

Audio Sample- MP3

I found this mp3 by searching "hip hop" on Freesound.org. I then downloaded the mp3 to my google drive so I could embed it on the website. This mp3 audio has a CC0 1.0 which means the work is dedicated to the public domain."hip hop beat 8.wav" by arnasarnas is marked with CC0 1.0.

Video Sample

I found this video by searching "nba highlights" on YouTube. I embedded this from YouTube from the code that they give automatically. Unfortunately this video has no licenses but according to nba.com the NBA name, logo and all other property are all exclusive property of NBA Properties, INC.

Lessons Learned

In this assignment I learned that when using any type of media they all have some type of licensing and depending on what type of licensing the media should be credited.
