Gaurav Datt

I am an Associate Professor at the Centre for Development Economics and Sustainability and the Department of Economics at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia.  

I have earlier worked in both research and operational positions at the World Bank (1990-1996 and 1999-2011) and at the International Food Policy Research Institute in Washington D.C. (1996-1999). 

My research focuses on poverty, income distribution, education, labour and social policy issues in a number of countries in Asia, the Pacific and Africa.
