2022: Research Support Grant from the Faculty of Business and Economics, Monash University, for the research project “Climate change and Indian agriculture: A disaggregated analysis”.  AUD 10,140. 

2021: Grant from Abt Associates Pty Ltd/ DFAT, for the research project “Gendered Impacts of SME Policy Responses to Covid-19 in South East Asia: Examples from Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam”.  AUD 200,000.

2020: Grant from International Growth Centre, London School of Economics and Political Science, for the research project “Changing Lives and Livelihoods in the Wake of Covid-19 Pandemic”.  GBP 14,628. 

2014: Grant from Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), Australia, for research project on “Microeconomic and social conditions in Timor-Leste”. AUD 360,000 (over three years). 

2013: Grant from Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), Australia, for the project on “Understanding and addressing poverty in Timor-Leste”, Monash-DFAT AAP Economics Research and Capacity Building Partnership. AUD 40,091. 

Awards

2013: Good Practice Award, Impact Evaluation Group, World Bank, for non-lending product with a demonstrated contribution: 'Reducing Inequality for Shared Growth in China: Strategy and Policy Options for Guangdong Province'.

1999: S. R. Sen Prize Award awarded by the Indian Society for Agricultural Economics for the Best Book on Agricultural Economics and Rural Development during 1995 and 1996 by an Indian author.

1983: K. C. Nag Memorial Prize for the best candidate in Masters in Economics, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi;  Hiralal Bhargava Gold Medal for the top rank in Masters of Economics, University of Delhi.
