GTIS makes no representation or contract that completing a particular course or curriculum will result in employment or licensures that are external to this organization.
CODE OF CONDUCT/ GENERAL POLICIES
Ø Attendance – Students are required to attend all classes. Because of the eight-week terms students will not receive credit for courses when there are (3) absences. Course completion may be affected by excessive tardiness.
Ø Incompletes - An Incomplete may be given when a student does not complete the requirements for a course or when a course is completed and there is an outstanding financial balance. Incompletes are not given for Credential/Certification courses. These courses are based on pass/fail determinations. Students must complete the required courses in the time allotted or receive a failing grade. Students are not allowed to register for new courses when there is an outstanding balance on their account.
Ø Academic Appeals – Academic appeals must be made to the Academic Dean or or Chancellor.
Ø Student Conduct: Students and faculty are expected to conduct themselves in accordance with Christian principles as understood by the school. Personal misconduct either on or off campus that detracts from the school or compromises Christian principles will be grounds for dismissal. The Chancellor is the final arbiter for dismissals.
Ø Plagiarism and Student Responsibility – Students are to pay particular attention to violating the principles of plagiarism. Students must cite all materials and ideas published by other sources. Each student is responsible for ensuring that they are on the right plan to receive a degree or certificate.
Nondiscrimination Statement
Gatewood Theological Institute and Seminary complies with all applicable federal and state nondiscriminatory laws and does not engage in prohibited discrimination on the basis of race, color, nationality or ethnic origin, gender, age, or disability in either employment on in providing services. As a Christian organization, non-Christian behaviors as interpreted by the staff and faculty may be grounds for non-admission. The Institute is locally controlled by Bethesda Fellowship Ministries located in Copperas Cove, Texas.
