You are responsible for renewing your certification every 2 years - both for the National Registry and AZ State.
** You can remain just state-certified, but if you have any desire to live and work in another state, it is highly recommended to renew your NR as you will have something called "reciprocity" in which you can prove to the other state that you were certified using national standards - plus if you lose NR status, you may be required to take additional courses or the NR exam again depending on the requirements needed**
Follow the steps below on how to add any continuing education courses that you have taken to your NREMT transcript and how to assign those credits to a specific category.
EMTs are required to do 40 credits of continuing education in a 2-year time span.
