If you are initially (for the first time) certifying as an EMT, you need to upload your NREMT card to the AZ DHS portal and file an initial application.

If you are renewing your certification, you need to also update AZ DHS - but will use the renewal application instead.

 Many times, your AZ certification is NOT the same expiration date as your NREMT - so please take note of that. You will most likely be sent a renewal reminder email but it's not guaranteed and is your responsibility to know when to renew or not.
