• Most of the institutes take their own entrance test for admission in MCA. 

• Admission to NITs is through NIMCET. The NIMCET is a Common Entrance National Level Test, conducted by any of the NITs ,for admission in to their MCA programme. Other Avenues: 

Additionally there are many more institutions offering Masters / PG in Computer Applications. There is also an option to join BCA / B. Sc (IT) and then go for MCA. This combination of BCA+MCA is considered one the best in the industry and such candidates are in very high demand because of the sheer strength of course / syllabus covered during these degrees and major focus on IT / Computer Applications only. 

Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application (PGDCA):
