After my graduation, I decided to change my branch and appeared in GATE in the year 1998 & was among top ranker in my engineering stream.
I was able to get admission at IIT (ISM Dhanbad) in Computers.
Changing the branch at that time was very tough. I know many of you like me would not want to continue with the same engineering stream and want to change. Believe me GATE is one of best and safe option for the same.
Another motivation for many of you would be to earn a degree from IITs and excel in your field. Again GATE is one of best and only (probably) option for getting a post graduate degree from IITs.
