FIP Modules

This professional development resource will assist educators in learning about formative instructional practices and how to use these strategies to improve teaching and student learning.  Formative instructional practices include learning targets and assessment processes for teachers and students to gather and respond to evidence about student learning.  A key expectation of FIP is that teachers develop the skills to guide students to take ownership for their own learning. Research has shown that FIP strategies, when used appropriately during teaching and learning, increase student achievement.
