I want to divorce my husband and we own several rental properties, two business' and have two children. I interviewed a Family Law Attorney and she quoted me a minimum of $10,000-$15,000.00 for the process. I have the money, but I think this is expensive. I've checked into Paralegals, but so much is at stake. Please help! Answer.
My mother died several years ago. She willed a house to my brother and I, and he is still making the mortgage payments and living in the house. The mortgage will be paid up in six months and we want to get title to it. I've called around to a couple of paralegals and they don't seem to know what to do, and won't prepare the new deed. I am so embarrassed to say that I am contemplating bankruptcy. I cashed out all of my retirement and my home equity line of credit to pay off debts, but I still owe almost $50,000.00 in credit card debt.
