In 2018, my colleague Chicko and I accepted an exclusive invitation to Hamburg to visit Rocket Beans TV—the true pioneers of the German gaming and media landscape (renowned for their legendary MTV show Game One).
In addition to a private, behind-the-scenes studio tour through the sacred halls of this media powerhouse, the absolute highlight of the day was an exclusive interview with Rocket Beans founder and host Nils Bomhoff. This video offers a rare, high-profile look behind the curtain of one of Germany’s most successful web production companies.
Additionally, a recording captures a special guest appearance where he took center stage during a circus performance. The act highlights another major facet of his creative identity: his deep-seated passion for comedy. Blending high-energy physical charisma with an effortlessly cool, deadpan wit, he delivered with sharp comedic timing and brought a captivating, entertaining vibe to the audience.

Choreography & Performance: Passion in Motion

Creating and performing choreography is one of the artist's greatest passions. Heavily inspired by icons like Bruce Lee and Alexander Fu Sheng, he uses movement to translate creative ideas onto the screen and embrace new challenges.
This project also marks one of his very first short movies produced entirely on his own. While working independently as both a solo performer and filmmaker brought its challenges, it provided the perfect opportunity to push his boundaries and elevate his creativity to the next level.
The Queen: A Visual Camera Experiment

With The Queen, the filmmaker presents another short film produced entirely on his own. This project focuses heavily on experimental research within low-budget videography: the goal was to test what kind of cinematic potential could be extracted from a used, 25-euro Lumix digital camera (12 Megapixels) from 2010 without any additional gear.
Running at just under two minutes, this experimental short serves as a fascinating proof-of-concept, proving that creativity and technical resourcefulness matter more than expensive equipment. (Note: The film is currently listed as a private archive project).
Karate Boy: A Cinematic Proof-of-Concept

With Karate Boy, the filmmaker presents another piece from his series of experimental test films. Produced entirely on his own, this project served primarily as a testing ground for timing, camera movement, and action choreography. Martial Arts Comedy: The Instagram & YouTube Shorts (2024–2025)

In 2024, the creator launched a short-form video series on Instagram, specializing in martial arts comedy. For several of these reels, he collaborated closely with Edith Jennifer Suan, an actress and singer from the Philippines.
Following a cyber-attack in late 2025 where the original Instagram account was compromised and many videos were permanently lost, only eight remaining episodes could be rescued from the hard drives. These exclusive eight episodes have been preserved and officially re-released as a permanent archive on YouTube.
Cinematic Appearance: Music Video Inspired by "Dune"

Another notable highlight in his filmography is his collaboration on a professional music video for the artist Lullaboy (Lalabily). The visual concept of the project is heavily inspired by the breathtaking aesthetics of the blockbuster movie Dune. Having received an exclusive invitation to the set, he showcased his versatility in front of the camera, contributing to the production as an on-screen performer and executing his own action stunts.

This project highlights his versatility in physical acting and expressive character performance on screen.

In 2026, Gary Adam secured another notable engagement when he was invited back to collaborate with the studio Horizon Entertainment, headed by Devin Landwehr. In the series “5 Tage Schule,” he provided the voice for a coffee machine, once again demonstrating his versatility as a voice actor by bringing a distinct personality to an unconventional role.
