Stay tuned for future opportunities. Thank you for your understanding!
Since 2023, the GARD Forum Innovation Challenge has included a mentoring opportunity to help participants with the preparation of their pitches. Through this mentorship a mix of synchronous and asynchronous online resources are made available, allowing participants to:
learn best practices on elevator pitch preparation from instructional videos or reading materials;
submit their pitch drafts for review;
meet synchronously with mentors via Zoom.
Data from the latest GARD Forum Innovation Challenges provide evidence that partaking in such kind of online mentoring opportunity is indeed beneficial for participants.
In honor of National Mentoring Month, celebrated every January in the U.S., we invited the judges, winners, and organizers/mentors involved in the last two editions of the Innovation Challenge to share their stories of youth mentorship.
During this event, previous winners provided an overview of their winning projects, shared updates on their progress and recent accomplishments, and engaged in interactive discussions regarding implementation strategies. We provided a platform for winners to share their plans and explore opportunities for collaboration. We encouraged judges to interact with the winners, ask questions, offer advice to potential participants for the 2024 Innovation Challenge, and engage with a broader audience. This event was intended to promote collaboration, exchange insights, and explore pathways for continued development and impact.
