Geometry, Algebra and Physics Seminar at KIAS
Geometry, Algebra and Physics Seminar at KIAS
organizer : Hyun Kyu KIM (Korea Institute for Advanced Study, hkim@kias.re.kr)
since Fall 2022
This is a not-so-regular seminar. Please contact Hyun Kyu Kim if you want to be in the mailing list. If the speaker agrees, we will try to broadcast in-person talks real-time by Zoom, record the lecture videos and make them available.

title: Presentations of the Roger-Yang generalized skein algebra
abstract:
I describe presentations of the Roger-Yang generalized skein algebras for punctured spheres and planes with an arbitrary number of punctures. Some connections with other algebras, including ordinary skein algebras and cluster algebras are described. I will also discuss some ideas on how to compute the presentation for higher-genus surfaces. Joint work with Farhan Azad, Zixi Chen, Matt Dreyer, and Ryan Horowitz.
Upcoming speakers (schedule to be settled)
Subhojoy GUPTA (Indian Institute of Science, India)
