Gamma Epsilon consistently represents the chapter at all levels of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. By attending annual local, regional, and national conferences, the chapter stays informed about initiatives, engages with members from across states and generations, and strengthens its commitment to the sorority’s mission of supreme scholarship, sisterhood, and service.
Cluster II of the North Atlantic Region includes Eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Eastern Maryland. Each fall, the Cluster II Conference brings members together to receive regional updates, review business protocols, and participate in a joint community service project. Gamma Epsilon members attend annually to stay informed, engaged, and committed to service.

The North Atlantic Regional Conference is held annually to provide members across the region with updates on regional business, recognize the academic and extracurricular achievements of undergraduate members, and honor the dedication and accomplishments of both graduate and undergraduate chapters throughout the program year. The conference also offers a variety of workshops, allowing members to engage in topics of their choosing and further develop their skills and knowledge.
In March of 2025, the annual North Atlantic Regional Conference was held in Uncasville, Connecticut. Chapter members Morgan Jenkins (fa’23), Lauryn Holloway (fa’23), and Jai Smith (fa'23) attended the conference, participating in a variety of workshops, connecting with fellow undergraduates, attending public meetings, and earning two awards on behalf of Gamma Epsilon.
The Ethel Hedgemon Lyle Undergraduate Leadership Institute is a premier leadership academy designed to equip undergraduate members with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to lead effectively. Through engaging in workshops, mentorship, and hands-on experiences, participants gain skills in communication, organizational management, conflict resolution, and strategic planning, all skills grounded in the values of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®.
Gamma Epsilon continuously raises the bar, serving not only within the Philadelphia community, but also at the regional level and beyond. Jai Smith (fa’23) serves on the Regional Protocol Committee, helping to ensure the safety and professionalism of the sorority during events and activities.
The International Conference, held biennially, brings together members from across the globe. Delegates from each chapter vote on policies, constitutional amendments, and programs, and elect international officers to lead the organization. Beyond governance, this conference offers opportunities for leadership development, service initiatives, cultural celebrations, and sisterhood bonding, making it both a pivotal and festive event.
The 2024 International Conference was held in Dallas, Texas. Gamma Epsilon proudly represented both the chapter and the North Atlantic Region, showcasing their commitment to leadership, service, and sisterhood. While there, members attended workshops, networked with members worldwide, and competed in the step show, an honor personally extended by North Atlantic Regional Director, Elicia Pegues Spearman Esquire, showcasing their talent and dedication to the chapter.

Gamma Epsilon leadership attended the 2025 Leadership Seminar in Anaheim, California, from July 10–13. The seminar, themed "Pathways to Soar: Unlocking Impactful Leadership," included workshops where they earned certifications for their roles, collaboration on community service projects, and even some fun at Disneyland, blending professional development with fellowship.
