Following the global pandemic Gaming Potion still exists but not in the format it has previously due to changes in the volunteer commitments. Gaming Potion will have featured nights at Tean Youth Club (https://www.teanyouth.club/) and at events around the local area.
Whilst Gaming Potion is paused, the generation of young people who attended still play on!
Gaming Potion's ambition is to encourage young people to gain skills in creative thinking, criticality, strategy, reflection and resilience, through playing hands on imaginative games via cooperation and competition.
To provide a safe space for young people to socialise.
To volunteer and provide help in the local community.
To engage in activities and events that the young people would like to do.
To build young people’s self-esteem and confidence.
To develop young people’s ability to manage personal and social relationships.
To create learning opportunities for young people to develop new skills.
To encourage positive group atmospheres.
To build the capacity of young people to consider risks, make reasoned decisions and take control.
