Without support from the local community, funders, granters and councils we would not be able to exist. So thank you!! From all of the members, volunteers and committee of Gaming Potion!
Gaming Potion would like to say a huge thank you to Claire Jones, who raised over £700 for Gaming Potion by running the St. Thomas' 7 Mile Road Race on Sunday 15th September 2019. Before the run Claire had not run further than 4 miles and pushed herself to the limit to raise funds for the club.
The funds raised by Claire are enough for us to hire Great Wood Hall at our current rate for over 60 hours of events.
Claire ran the race in memory of her late husband and our former Chairman Steve Jones, to allow the club to maintain his ethos that the club should remain free for all.
Forsbrook Parish Councillors
Checkley Parish Council kindly provided us with a grant for funding Great Wood Hall after their Parish Assembly 2019.
The Community Foundation for Staffordshire with the #iWill fund have kindly funded us for 2019 which is absolutely fantastic!
#iwill is a UK-wide campaign aiming to get 6 out of 10 young people involved in social action by 2020.
Big Lottery Fund and the Department of Culture, Media & Sport have invested £20 million each to the #iwill fund to support young people to access high quality social action opportunities.
Social action involves activities such as campaigning, fundraising and volunteering, all of which enable participants to make a positive difference to their communities.
Social action develops the skills and knowledge of young people that employers look for.
