Please Note - the IDT is NOT the Colorado Sparkler - these are 2 different events, different start dates (both end on Sunday 7/2)
FLYING: There is only 1 airport to fly in to - Denver International Airport [DEN]
Several airlines offer direct flights to Denver [DEN]: Southwest and Delta have the most frequent flights; American Airlines does not fly direct from Atlanta to Denver but they do have flights. Frontier is an option as well, but the add-on's (seat assignments, baggage fees, etc. can be costly)
Southwest will usually be the lowest cost provider - one-way fares as low as $80. Fares are available now on both SWA and Delta. Delta occasionally has lower fares and they will also have more direct flights, so be sure to look at all your options.
Fares don't generally get cheaper, so there is no harm in booking early.
If you are flying, always pack your uniforms, glove and wristbands (anything that CANNOT be replaced) in your carryon luggage. Bats and softballs (although you may get away with the latter, I wouldn't chance it) must be checked!
Other packing recommendations: Use a cooler as luggage and pack clothes/misc in the cooler. Packable chairs
DRIVING: It is about a 21 hr drive from Atlanta to Denver.
Be prepared to play on Wednesday, so you will need to arrive in Denver by Tuesday night.
This IS a Stay to Play event. However, hotels have not been released by Travel Teams yet so it is likely we will pay the buyout, to avoid inconvenient selections once they do become available. The buyout will be $67 per family ($1k / 15 players)

There is a seven-game guarantee for all participating teams. All teams will play two pool games per day on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Pool play results are used to seed teams into a single-elimination bracket to be played on Saturday and Sunday. All “Championship” games are scheduled to start at 1:00 pm on Sunday.
There is a seven-game guarantee for all participating teams. All teams will play two pool games per day on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Pool play results are used to seed teams into a single-elimination bracket to be played on Saturday and Sunday.
Pool play results determine seeding into the single elimination bracket. Teams will receive two points for a win, one point for a tie and no points for a loss. If pool play results in a tie, pool standing will be determined by: a) head to head results between tied teams. When more than two teams tie, head-to-head will be used only if one team has beaten all other tied teams or one team has lost to all other tied teams; b) fewest runs allowed in all pool games; c) a coin flip. When more than two teams tie, after a team is selected during any step, the tiebreaker reverts back to step a) to select the next team
