Make an Impact Youth Sports, INC

Our team has started a non-profit (501c3) organization to help solicit donations from companies/corporations.  The benefit to donors is that donors contributions are tax deductible.  

Current Progress

• 2/14 - Business Filed and Incorporated - Make an Impact in Youth Sports Inc.  

• 2/20 - Completed request for EIN:  92-2475966

• 2/22 - Bank account for non-profit established 

• 2/22 Submitted request for 501 c3 status - Approximately processing time 4-6 weeks 

• Next - set up Venmo for easy payment 

• Create template for donation requests 

• Create template for donation acknowledgements 

• 3/20 - It's IRS Official!! Make an Impact Youth Sports, Inc.  is a certified Non-Profit organization!!!

  • The effective date is as of 2/14/2023.  

Any monetary donations must be made payable to "Make an Impact Youth Sports, Inc".  All donors will receive a receipt with our EIN, for tax purposes.   

I will be updating this page with more information (i.e., how can we utilize our 501c3 status, etc.) as I continue to learn about the process.  

I found the following site that contains a list of potential donors.  Most require 'accepted Non-Profit' status - but I have several of the companies tee'd up as soon as we receive our official status:  Discover Donors (theshareway.com)
