I am Associate Professor in Economics at the University of Siena, IZA and GLO Research Fellow. I am also Visiting Research Fellow at Leeds University Business School (UK) and  affiliated scholar at FCEA, Universidad de la República (Uruguay). 

My research lies at the intersection of labour and organisational economics. I study how labour-market institutions and organisational practices shape productivity, technological change, worker outcomes, and inequality. My current research focuses on worker voice and, employee ownership and cooperatives, working-time regulation, and the adoption and consequences of new digital technologies. I also draw on behavioural economics to study labour markets and organisations.
