About Institute

Government Polytechnic, Dahod is established in 1959 with an intention to produce skilled technicians in tribal areas of Dahod District in Gujarat. It comes directly under Commissionerate of Technical Education, Education Department - Government of Gujarat. Government Polytechnic College Dahod is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Gujarat Technological University (GTU).The Institute main building is constructed in 1963 with campus land area of 47 acres (19 hectares). Initially the Institute was running diploma courses only in Civil Engg, Mechanical Engg, and Electrical Engg, with an intake capacity of 120 students each. The intake capacity has varied significantly due to enhancement in Industrial development and advancement in technologies. Many students have got excellent opportunities through campus interviews. Presently the institute is offering Diploma in Civil, Mechanical ,Electrical Engineering, Computer engineering, Electronic and Communication engineering and Costume Design. 3 courses Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering from institute got NBA accreditation from year 2023 to year 2026.
