Dear 5th & 6th Graders and Parents/Guardians,
It is my pleasure to invite you to participate in this year's band program at Fairfax Villa ES! I'm confident that we'll be able to learn fun, new skills and make some beautiful music together.
This website will provide you with the necessary information to help guide your decision about joining the band. Band class is a graded, year-long commitment and students are expected to practice regularly at home. You'll find the band expectations further outlined under the "Band Class" tab.
Playing an instrument has numerous benefits. It helps build confidence, improves memory, and encourages good self-discipline and time management skills among many others. It is an opportunity to explore creativity and self-expression.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with your questions. I am eagerly looking forward to working with you and your child this year!
Sincerely,
Ms. Christina Ammirati, NBCT
