FCPS INCLEMENT WEATHER CODES

CODE 1: SCHOOLS & OFFICES CLOSED

• All schools and offices are closed.

• Maintenance and custodial staff report at 6 a.m..

• All field trips and school-ground activities are canceled.

CODE 2: 2-HOUR DELAY

• Schools and offices open 2 hours late.

• Buses pick up 2 hours late.

• Maintenance and food staff report on time.

• All other staff report 2 hours late.

• School ends at normal dismissal time.

CODE 3: EARLY DISMISSAL

• All schools close early.

• Afternoon buses drop off after dismissal.

• Maintenance staff complete normal shifts.

• All afternoon and evening activities, practices, and field trips are canceled.

CODE 4: EVENING ACTIVITIES CANCELED

• All after-school and evening activities, including sports, practices, and field trips, are canceled.

• Daytime school operations proceed as normal.

CODE 5: NON-SCHOOL DAY ACTIVITIES CANCELED

• All FCPS buildings are closed.

• All activities for the non-school day are canceled.

• Cancellations include extracurriculars, sports, field trips, and adult education programs.
