Inclement Weather Newsletter - January 29, 2026 

Dear FCPS Families,

Due to ongoing concerns about sidewalks and icy roads, Future County Public Schools will now be closed on Friday, January 30, 2026 with offices operating on a 2-hour delay with the option of virtual work. The following activities are cancelled.

• Sports Games & Practices 

• Club Meets

• Campus Rents (Any rents scheduled for this day have been cancelled) 

• Professional Development & Staff Training

While our crews are actively making sure roads, bus stops, and sidewalks are safe there is still a concern for busses. The roads continue to be extremely narrow and icy, we believe this would not give busses enough space for busses. We will continue to monitor road conditions throughout Friday and provide an update regarding Saturday's operations. We appreciate your understanding!
