Please welcome our new pastor John Paschall and his wife Kathryn! We are excited to have them at Vidor Methodist Church. Pastor John welcomes you and invites you to worship with us!

Pastor John Paschall and his wife Kathryn both grew up in Kirbyville, Texas and graduated high school there in 1985. They were actually in the same class (since 5th grade) and were friends but never dated. After 30 years of not seeing or talking with one another, God providentially brought them back together in 2016. They have been married since 2017 and have a blended family of five children and ten grandchildren.

Kathryn has a variety of interests, hobbies and talents including art, music, crafts, the beach, beach glass, rock hunting, plants, cooking, reading and spending time with the kids and grandkids.

Pastor John has an undergraduate degree in Business and graduated from Brite Divinity School in Fort Worth, Texas in 1993. He was originally ordained in 1992 in the United Methodist Church and served churches for several years in the Texas Annual Conference. He stepped away from Pastoral Ministry for 30 years and has held a variety of positions in Human Resources and Finance/Accounting.

God called John and Kathryn back into the ordained ministry in the fall of 2023 and they are excited and enthused about being with us here at Vidor Methodist Church. They moved to Vidor in January 2024 from Fort Wayne, Indiana where they were living, working and serving.

Pastor John says "Kathryn and I are absolutely convinced that God called us to pastor the Vidor Methodist Church at this time and for this season. We are excited about how God is moving in our church and we look forward to the mission and ministry that God has in store for all of us in the days ahead! I am humbled and honored to be your servant leader."
