My lab is interested in the biology of fibrogenic, adipogenic, and myogenic stem cells and progenitor cells. I have 2 research programs. The first one is biomedical research program using mouse as a model to conduct health-related research. The second is agricultural research program primarily focusing on beef cattle to improve meat quality.

The lab current have 3 major research interests.

1. Role of Cardiac fibroblasts in cardiac fibrosis

2. Impact of obesity and diabetes on skeletal muscle

3. Depot-specific regulation of adipogenesis
