T/Cocoon Silkflower
Message from the Creator:
Silk from Japan has long been renowned for its exceptional quality and is a material deeply interwoven with Japanese culture, with roots stretching back to the ancient Yayoi period. This craft honors this heritage by utilizing high-quality Japanese cocoons—often those unsuitable for raw silk production—to create beautiful, treasured traditional crafts. This legacy is so important that the Japanese Imperial Family still honors the tradition of sericulture on the palace grounds.
We hope that displaying this flowers born from natural silk cocoons in your space brings you the unique beauty and warmth of Japanese culture and dedicated craftsmanship.
After the chrysalises leave, the cocoons are sterilized and dyed. We then thinly peel the layers and meticulously craft each petal and leaf by hand
All cocoons used are brought from Japan (Nagano and Okayama Prefectures) and every piece is crafted with the utmost care, transforming this precious material into art.
Because Japanese-produced cocoons are rare today, each creation are carefully checked the thickness, shape, and color balance to achieve the ideal finished form.

Our "Milkweed Seed Balls" use seeds from the popular Swamp Milkweed. When they sprout and grow, they become a vital egg-laying site for monarchs, supporting the next generation. The flowers also serve as a rich nectar source for all pollinators. I am very excited to introduce these seed balls into your garden! I look forward to seeing you at the fair!
Seed Balls are made of plant seeds wrapped in a nutritious mix of natural clay and organic compost, then air-dried.
