This page follows on from my Screening Data page and this is where I will publish, on a month-by-month basis, some stocks with the highest buy and sell scores.
My screener works by performing mathematical and statistical tests on time-series and cross-sectional data and then scores a stock on a buy score and a sell score. The higher the score, the more reasons to buy or sell the stock according to the data.
This score is an indicator. It's a number to suggest that you should not always take action. A buy score of 8 one month could become a 6 next month and then a 9 the month after. Just because a stock has a high number, it doesn't mean that you should buy or sell the stock. The stock could continue to rise or fall. This number is just to make a reader aware of the potential to take action.
For example, if Tesco had a Buy score of 6 and Sainsbury had a score of 8, my screener suggests that Sainsbury has "more factors" to rate it as a buy, such as a lower RSI or higher dividend yield. It does not mean Sainsbury is the best stock to buy as both are high values.
The published numbers are for information only.
You should do your own research on any stock mention here. Research as to why you think, these scores generated, if you agree with it and look for further information to support your investment decision. I am not allowed to provide financial advice. It could be that these scores have been caused by a profit warning, regulatory change, or macro event.
All scores are out of 12.
The higher the score, the more indicators the screener has picked up.
Tip 1: Most stocks on my screener score below 5. It is when they go above 5 that they become interesting.
Tip 2: Ask your AI bot something like "should I buy/sell shares in company X? See if it agrees or disagrees with my verdict. I don't fully trust AI but it could be a useful check before you iinvest.
The thing to consider is that high buy scores usually indicate a stock underperforming and high sell scores usually indicate a stock overperforming, and this is very important to understand.
Be prepared to disagree with these scores. You might have information that the screener is not looking at.
