Fruitful Minds Academy Code of Conduct

Students enrolled in Fruitful Minds Academy shall commit to keeping things safe, smart, sparkling, and spirit-led.

Safe

• Use kind words and gentle hands.
  
  

• Respect personal space and belongings.
  
  

• Use all materials and equipment safely.
  
  

Smart

• Remain quiet during instruction so you and others may learn.
  
  

• Stay curious and engaged in learning.
  
  

• Ask for help when you need it.

Sparkling 

• Clean up your space when you’re done so that it "sparkles". :)
  
  

• Return all materials and tools to their designated spots.
  
  

• Leave classrooms, bathrooms, and shared spaces better than you found them.

Spirit-Led

• Work hard to show the Fruits of the Spirit. (Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control)

• Lovingly encourage classmates to be spirit-led. 

1st Offense: Reminder, natural consequences occur

2nd Offense: Logical consequence given, reteach if necessary

3rd Offense: The behavior is repetitive. This means it’s time for a YMS (Your Concerns, My Concerns, Solutions) conversation inspired by Dr. Ross Greene’s Collaborative & Proactive Solutions

If a violent or disruptive behavior persists, suspension or expulsion might be necessary. In the event of chronic or severe misbehavior, the school may suspend or expel the child as an absolute last resort.

*Discipline will be fair and no person will be discriminated against because of their race, color, sex, or disabilities.
