Some say "Gender is a social construct". Often it might not be obvious how gender is 'constructed' in a society, but gender is everywhere in any day-to-day scenarios - from biological categorisation, to gender-segregated treatments/ interactions, roles, expectations and development of individuals, in families and society. Assembling these situations together, we may be able to get a glimpse of the contour of a gendered society.
GENDA presents some of these (gendered) scenarios with illustrations and questions, including the human experiences and struggles of transgender persons. Through the game, try to untangle these sticky situations one by one. Explore how gender affects you and others, and how it differentiates us as humans.
Let's start a journey deconstructing and re-constructing gender!
