The first day of the symposium will be held in English and will focus on the appropriation and reception of videogames by gamers, including but not limited to topics such as game localiation and fan cultures.

The program will include a mix of traditional academic presentations and round table sessions with researchers and practitioners, designed to appeal to a mixed audience who will be able to participate in the discussion onsite and online:
