Day 56th May

KAZIMIERZ DOLNY is a small historic town in eastern Poland. It is a tourist destination, the town enjoyed its greatest prosperity in the 16th and the first half of the 17th century, due to the trade-in of grain conducted along the Vistula. Since the 19th century, it has become a holiday destination, attracting artists and summer residents. Many painters retreat to this small, art town to paint and sell their work. Kazimierz Dolny is a charming place with a picturesque town squere. The most impressive and extreme experience was here - a jeep tour of the town, which went through both flat and smooth roads and through the biggest ravines, which is the biggest attraction in the area and the town quest.

The guests had a chance to try a traditional roll called “Kogut Kazimierski” and had a final lunch of the project during which they got small souvenirs and certificates

It is a pity that the project is over. We have spent many wonderful moments together and have overcome lots of difficult situations caused by the situation worldwide. First, the pandemic and now the war in Ukraine. During our three year work we concentrated on discovering the regions of our partners, but we could also rediscover our own regions. We have learned about the culture, history, art, but also the cuisine of our regions and we want to preserve it for the future generations.

The students from the partner countries have worked together in international teams on different tasks, discussed them, agreed on main ideas, created and presented outputs. But there was also some time and possibilities to chill out and meet new friends, get to know new places and gain unforgettable memories.

And all of this was possible thanks to financial support of the European Union.
