The wheel of change is driven by the undercurrent of discontentment. It sweeps up all those who stand in its water and only those who can stand their ground can ever truly make their own path. Those who cannot find themselves lost in a torrent, never knowing where they are headed.
Fae thought she distanced herself from that undertow. She knew all to well the danger that it held even for the strongest of people. It wore away at you until there was little more left that a reflection of who you were. But one day, she found that current pulling at her once again and this time, she doesn't know if she will be able to escape it again.

In this future, detectives can dive into the subconscious of criminals. Newly promoted officer Detective McKinnon stumbles upon a drug bust that appears to have more than meets the eye. Suspicious, he delves into the minds of those caught and finds himself engrossed into a deeper and deeper web of secrets until he finds out the truth of the world he lives in.
