My experience of prepping for the SAT and ACT was that I exposed my brain to hundreds of similar problems. In the math sections, there are around 54 questions in the full test.
When you look at 4 tests, you see over 200 questions.
- I found that my brain begin to see patterns.
- I also didn't need to read the instructions.
- I didn't need to look at the reminders at the front of the math test, like a 45 45 90 triangle has sides of 3, 3 and 3 root 2
- I also pushed myself to WRITE CLEAR NOTES during my calculations so that I could go back to CHECK my answers.
- I became very good at the multiplication tables. 8 x 9 is instant in my mind
- Multiples of 12 and 14 and 15 and 16 and 18 are important
12, 24, 36, ...
14, 28, 42, ...
15, 30, 45, 60, ,,,,
16, 32, 48, ...
18, 36, 54, ...
- The verbal section usually takes longer to increase, since vocabulary is slower to increase. Visit FreeVocabulary.com and expose yourself to words
--print the word lists
-- cross out the words you know well (can ou give a synonym right now?)
-- study the rest.
-- Involve adults. Make a copy of the list of words that you don't know well and ask your mom and other adults to tell you what they mean. "Can you use vicarious in a sentence?"
Make it easy on the adults by handwriting the words on a list. Give the adults 10 or 20 words.
-- Keep those lists and review them every other day. When you really really know the word (you can give synonyms quickly or use the word in a sentence), then you can cross out that word.
"Vicarious is like when you never went to Cancun, Mexico but you can imagine how it was like because someone told you about it. That's vicarious" -- at least you know that the word is not about football or cooking.
I have designed this free test prep program (TinyURL.com/FreeTestPrepByPhone) to give students something free. In return, I hope students will take time to boost the views on this important video. Only 102 subscribes so far and fewer than 2300 views
TinyURL.com/NoGradesCardinal I set up a free website just for this campaign.

"The single most important thing you could do tomorrow for little to no money is have every student establish a digital portfolio where they collect their best work as evidence of their skills. Where they’re working with their teachers and other adults to present their best work, to iterate their best work, so that they actually have real progress they can show."

MORE TIPS
1. Go to TinyURL.com/PrepareForTheTutor and get to work on the tips. Get free copies of the official SAT past tests at TINYURL.com/SteveFreeSATTests
2. Ideally, print the test and write on the paper. Show your work.
-- Send me photos of the questions that you don't know how to do (???) mark the photo with ??? in the caption.
-- Put "Faster" if you got the right answer but it took you more than 2 minutes to arrive at the answer.
3. TIME PER DAY: Please look at questions for at least 45 minutes but less than 60 minutes a day DURING SCHOOL DAYS. Let's be cautious.
You need to put in at least 2 hours a day during weekends and holiday times.
4. TAKE BREAKS Break up the sessions
45 minutes (5 minutes walking) (stand up twice)
then 30 minutes, (5 minutes walking) (stand up once)
then 45 minutes.(stand up twice)
Sitting for more than 20 minutes is not healthy. STAND UP and stretch every 20 minutes
get up and walk for at least 5 minutes between sessions.
