Who Said it Best
Who Said it Best
For this assignment, I explored different media sources and analyzed each version of the story based on a particular event. I chose to cover the event of the original repeal of Net Neutrality and looked three sources from Reuters, Buzzfeed, and Fox News. These sources in particular fall in the center, left, and right respectively. I discussed topics of compare, contrast, visuals, and beliefs.
With these difference points of analysis, I concluded that there are similarities but also variations in the information provided by different media sources. It this case, the leaning sources seemingly promoted their own perspective in the end. Looking out for these discrepancies is up to you the consumer of the media. Since this variation in information can be anywhere you look, especially on the world wide web where you can easily be caught in a web of misinformation and misrepresentation of information.
