Email us at fbh2016@outlook.com and we'll get in touch to arrange a trial shift. Please note that you must be over 18 to volunteer with us.

Volunteers help sort and categorize books, fill shelves, and answer any questions from our customers. Full training will be given by a senior volunteer or one of the trustees during the trial shift as well as in subsequent shifts after joining the team.

We can offer a pleasant environment, guidance and support, and free books! Once you've been with us for some time, we can also give you a reference which you can use for future volunteering or job opportunities.

As a volunteer, there's no minimum commitment to the number of shifts you do, and neither do you have to do the same shift every week. You can sign up to the shifts that you want.
