Their ultimate goal is to gain access to your home or steal your identity.

These imposters may:

• Carry laptops, biometric machines, and lists of names to seem legitimate.

• Demand to take your photo or fingerprints.

THIS IS A SCAM. The government is NOT conducting any such door-to-door initiative to collect photos, fingerprints, or personal IDs in this manner.

DO NOT give them any information, photos, fingerprints, or allow them into your home.

Key things to remember:

• Verify Identity: Legitimate government officials will always have proper identification and rarely demand immediate access or personal biometric data at your doorstep without prior notice.

• Never Open the Door to Strangers Demanding Information: If you are unsure, do not open your door.

• Call Authorities: If you encounter these individuals, do not engage. Please report them immediately to the Hollywood Police Department by calling their non-emergency line at 954-764-4357 (or 911 in an emergency).
