Welcome to Free Food, a resource dedicated to connecting individuals and families with essential food assistance.
My name is Mae Hill, and I've been passionately involved in food drive initiatives for six years. My journey began during the pandemic when I recognized a critical need within my community. Many seniors and families with children faced significant challenges accessing food, often due to a lack of information about food drive locations or the absence of reliable transportation. Additionally, the rising cost of food has made it increasingly difficult for many to afford nutritious meals.
Witnessing these struggles, I felt compelled to act. I started by personally collecting and distributing food to those who couldn't reach food drives on their own. This often involved delivering directly to seniors and families in need. Beyond direct distribution, I also volunteer my time at various food drives throughout the year, assisting with the organization and distribution of food. Food drives are often short-staffed, and I find immense satisfaction in contributing to their efforts.
My commitment stems from a deep-seated belief in helping others. It is my hope and prayer that I can continue to bridge the gap between food resources and those who need them most. Free Food aims to be a comprehensive guide, providing clear and accessible information on food drive locations and other vital resources for the hungry.
