Bradshaw steps in as Interim Chair   

JonDarr Bradshaw, the Community Engagement Coordinator at the Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland has agreed to step in as the interim chairperson for the Buckeye Regional Planning Committee.  

“I am excited about this competition season and the extraordinary opportunity that it will provide for young people across the region,” said Mr. Bradshaw is a long-time advocate for competitive high school robotics.  Bradshaw, who replaces retiring Committee Co-chairs Diane Sadowski and Peter Buca, has been an active member of the committee for the past several years.  Known across the United States and Canada as the “Voice" of FIRST®, JonDarr is a veteran FIRST® Robotics Competition (FRC) Game Announcer with more than 23+ years of FIRST® volunteer experience. During his long FRC career, JonDarr has served as the featured play-by-play GA at more than 55 off-season tournaments, 52 FRC Regional Tournaments, and 14 FIRST® Championship events.

JonDarr is a past recipient of the Buckeye Regional “Volunteer of the Year” award, and currently mentors six (6) FRC teams. He also serves on the planning committees for the Greater Pittsburgh Regional and the Curiosity Open Robotics Challenge, an annual off-season tournament held at the Great Lakes Science Center in downtown Cleveland, Ohio.
