Two-Bit - CAD Render

Two-Bit, while primarily made to get cubes into a tall scale in the middle of the field, was made to have the versatility to also place cubes in the vault, which stores cubes for activating power ups, and on the shorter switches. It features a tank-style drivetrain, telescoping cube elevator, detaching hook climb mechanism, and a cube intake mechanism with adjustable aim and arm that can extend outward to make grabbing cubes easier. Our capacity to fill any role in the game necessary and our ability to quickly and reliably climb the bar took us all the way to the world championship that took place in Detroit.

In addition to building a practice bot and our competition bot Two-Bit, we also built an arcade cabinet to fit with the theme of Power Up. Other teams were able to play games and watch slideshows of photos from previous seasons on it at the competitions we attended.

This was our third year working at Kettering University's FIRST Robotics Center. This year, brand new workspaces featuring television screens or projectors (depending on the room), whiteboard walls, rolling tables, and rolling seating were constructed for the teams operating out of the FIRST Center to utilize. These spaces were used extensively by our programming team for nearly everything they did.
