Key Wellness Focus Areas
-Providing students and staff with Resiliency Strategies during the year
-Creation of District and Building Wellness Teams to address needs of our students. Teams will be created to funnel information, professional development opportunities, and share areas of concern that need to be addressed in our schools as it pertains to mental health and social-emotional learning.
-Communication: The need to inform our parents and staff regarding resources at the district and county level for those in need. To relay that message through District Staff and Parent Newletters. To create monthly themes focusing on tips and strategies related to Wellness that can be used by all of our stakeholders in the district.
Professional Development Opportunities
-Designated professional development opportunities have been created within the District’s 2020-2021 Professional Development Calendar. The key focus area revolving around “Resiliency”, will be looked at during allocated sessions with staff. We will also be utilizing the CASEL (Collaborative for Academic and Social Emotional Learning) document to guide our work during the 2020-2021 school year.
