OCTOBER

Pumpkintown, USA in East Hampton, CT

During the month of October, our seniors visited Pumpkintown, USA, at Paul's and Sandy's, Too in East Hampton, CT. We enjoyed lots of laughs, and beautiful fall weather as we got ready for Halloween. We also partook in Trunk or Treat with our Franklin community partners FES PTO, JCC Library, and Lions Club. We had tons of fun making Halloween memorable for Franklin's youth and their families! On October 28, we hosted a Ghost Golf/Scavenger hunt at the center with help from the Ashbel Woodward Museum. We had 110 children attend the event and we loved seeing everyone in their Halloween costumes!

Throughout December, we enjoyed getting in the spirit with friends. We took a trip to see the Lobster Trap Tree in Stonington, CT and loved seeing the holiday lights. We spent time at the Lebanon Senior Center where we shared Christmas carols and good tidings. The Franklin Senior Center wishes you all a happy and safe holiday season surrounded by those you love most, and cannot wait to see what the new year has in store for us!
