PCC, or Parent Communication Council, is a group of volunteers that work with the staff and administration of the school to enrich our children's educational experience. We do this through fundraisers, events, and activities. The PCC fully funds field trips for every student at Jefferson, holds Book Fairs, hosts Cultural Enrichment Assemblies for the children, sponsors the Artist in Residence Program each year, hosts the Spooky Fall Festival and Spring Carnival, and facilitates 5th Grade Celebration. The PCC is committed to supporting all students and staff as we continue to adjust to our new academic normal. Tab over to the "Jefferson PCC" tab for all PCC happenings.
That our PCC is an entirely volunteer run organization? Everything that we do is accomplished with the help of parents and family members who generously give their time to us. We need lots of help to be successful! Even 10-15 minutes of your time a month, goes a long way when everyone gets involved.
Researchers have been studying the effects that parent attitudes and actions have on their children's academic success for many years, and they have reported consistently that children with parents involved in their education and schools earn better grades, score higher on tests, and much more. Simply letting a child know you care and are invested enough to be involved in his day-to-day school life sends a clear message about the value of school and education.
We LOVE hearing from you! Feel free to contact any one of our Executive Board Members at any time. You can also email the PCC directly. And be sure to come back and visit this website frequently for up-to-date information about what's happening at Jefferson Elementary!
