Hollywood style frame, medium crowned together for the garden door.
Assembled apartment door wall.
2x2 decorative vertical moulding added to the apartment door unit. Glued and screwed on.
Custom built door with a 1/2" ply applied sunburst.
Custom door mounted in the apartment door wall.
Custom built 18 step staircase. It had 1x12 stringers, doubled up on the bottom half of the stairs.
The stairs were faced with 1/2" ply and the treads were 3/4" ply.
The staircase was a cantilevered unit that was only used by the actors up to the fourth stair.
The staircase was on platform with triple swivel casters for changeover purposes. The casters were raised and lowered using pneumatic pancakes.

Hand cut and carved end to the wooden handrail on the staircase.
The custom stoop and custom handrail, built to sit on top of the shell platform. The handrail was welded steel and removable for changeover.
The garden door wall was built to sit half on and half off the edge of the shell platform. It was supported by a small wall on the DS side and a wider wall on the US side. All 3 walls had stage weights in the bottom for extra support.

The scenic changeover from one show to the other was done in just over and hour with the technical director and two carpenters.

Layout of the OSB base layer for the disk.
1/4" MDF layer being laminated and narrow crowned on top in strategic places to create 4 pieces.
The disk was built in 4 separate pieces for changeover purposes. The pieces overlapped and were bolted together with stove bolts and t-nuts.
The scenic changeover from one show to the other was done in just over and hour with the technical director and two carpenters.

This is the final scenic budget before build for the show started. This budget is for both productions. It includes material and labor estimates with contingency included for both.
These are the steps for the scenic changeover. It was used as a guide for the changeover crew to follow to make sure every piece went where it was supposed to.
