Frankie Martinez is a third year MFA candidate at Indiana University. She will be graduating in May 2026 with an MFA in Theatre Technology. She received a BFA in Theater Arts with a concentration in Design & Production and a focus in Scenic Design and Construction, from East Carolina University in 2023. Recently, at IU, she has been the Technical Director for The Prom, Legally Blonde and Head Over Heels. Summer 2025 she worked as the TD for Six Flags' touring SPLASH! Water Parade. Additionally, she was the TD for IU Summer Theatre's productions, Dial M for Murder and Forever Plaid in 2024. This spring at IU she is the TD for A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Frankie was born in Wyoming but grew up in Chapel Hill, NC. She went to a tiny independent high school where she had the opportunity to do woodworking, blacksmithing, and sewing. This, along with her dad, sparked her interest in building and creating things early on. Both her parents are art teachers so she has been making things her whole life. She is a power tool junkie with a great passion for bringing other worlds to life.
