Title: Kindness Will Change the World By...
Artist Statement: It takes tons of courage to do a simple kind act, but to do something discourteous will take you at any rate a few seconds. Like if you have a sibling then you can tease them effortlessly but to be kind to them will take courage. Kindness has changed the world from bullies and other impolite people's lives. What inspired me to write is that everyone should know about the Kindness Ripple Effect. As you can see a person can change the world bit by bit, but if everyone was kind the world would be an enhanced place.

Title: Atlas
Details: 303 words
Artist Statement: My poem illustrates a metaphor of having the world on your shoulders. We should care enough about our actions and how they impact this symbolic “weight of the world.” If the world was on your shoulders, would you be able to carry the load? This responsibility is something that many people rely on others to do when it’s everyone’s job. In my poem, I showed change by shifting the tone and capitalizing the first word of every line when I stated ways we could lessen the weight of the world - by being the change we wish to see.
