JSpeex

• original opensource project is JSpeex - my gratitude to the porters and original implementers of Speex.

• This seemed to be the only 100% pure Java encoder AND decoder for compressed audio out there - and open source to boot.

• encodeTimes.xls - helps pick the settings to use.

• compressedSpeexSamples.zip - sample Speex encoded files at various complexities & variable bit rates using UWB setting.

Extensions

JSpeex 0.9.2 was file based. These extensions were necessary to get it to be memory/stream based.
