Foundations of Teacher Education
My name is Morgan, and I am a student at CVTC in the Foundations of Teacher Education program. I grew up in Andover, MN, with my mom, dad, brother, and twin sister, and moved to Eau Claire, WI, in 2024 to continue my education. I am an active member of Jacob's Well Church, where I am a youth leader for 6th-grade girls and where I met my fiancé, Caleb. After I graduate from CVTC with my associate's degree in the spring of 2027, I plan to transfer to UW-Whitewater to get my full teaching degree online. Today’s society is desperate for good teachers; teachers who will help kids grow and be a light in their students’ lives. I chose to study elementary education because I want to make a positive impact on the world, and becoming a teacher is how I can do that.
I have always wanted to get into teaching, and have been working with kids since I started Middle School. Through all the joy and even the frustrations, I have always loved it. Most of my experience includes childcare, babysitting, and camp counseling. I am also currently volunteering as a youth leader for 6th-grade girls at my church. I have never worked in a classroom before, but I am looking forward to assisting in one for practicum this coming spring semester. My current job does not directly involve working with kids, but since it is a family resort, I get to interact with kids all the time and support parents in ensuring the whole family has a fun experience.
