Not as grand as the castle, the Fort is located near the inlet lake. Constructed mostly of stones in blue-green hues with sea shells embedded in them the occasional piece of driftwood peeks out here and there revealing the inner construction of the walls.
This place is meant to be the headquarters for the Avengers while in the Fae Lands taking up two acres it very much looks like something taken from a theme park and dropped into place. The windows, for example, are large to encourage nature sunlight with no care about how hard that makes it to defend.
It's best defense is the moat that surrounds the fort that is quite deep. The waters are crystal clear and home to a large group manatees (and one hippo). The Gatehouse Towers have arrow slits and the spacing in the curtain walls could possibly allow for canons but, the place is clearly not meant to be a defensive stronghold.
It is the Fae's idea of what their pets would like to have based on drawings done by Steve Rogers with little details and touches from the Queen of the Summer Court who commissioned its construction before her untimely death.
The gatehouse serves as the entry to the Fort. The drawbridge is made of planks from sunken ships. There are signs of the undersea creatures and growths still visible on the wood. Even though it is on land the wood looks wet all the time and when the drawbridge is lowered actual water drips into the moat below sounding like a gentle rainfall.
Two towers flank the drawbridge, each with arrow slits that would allow for shots to be taken at anyone attempting to storm the fort. At the top of the gatehouse wall between the two towers is a ship's wheel.
It is used to lower the drawbridge. What should be an incredibly difficult task due to the heavy weight of the drawbridge itself one person can do alone because of magic enchanted in the wheel.
The drawbridge is typically left open during the day to allow people to freely come and go from the Fort. It is raised at night after the sun goes down.
It is a favored place for the fae to leave flowers, sea shells, and other ocean trinkets as a memorial to their beloved Summer Queen, gone too soon.
The Walls of the fort are a simple enough construction with no noticeable armaments. They can be patrolled and used for defense but generally are used to get around the Fort as the walls do not have interior halls that connect the various living areas.
At the corners are three square towers and one round tower - the Wizard's Tower. Only the Wizard's Tower has a pointed roof. There are small wooden structures meant to provide shade from the sun but otherwise the towers are open to the elements as are the wall walk that connect them all.
One can only gain access to the wall walk through these towers - or by trying to climb the Fort walls themselves though it seems like only those with spider themed powers can climb them easily.
Each tower houses some sort of living or recreational area and have many windows to allow natural sunlight in, even the one with the bathhouse. The Wizard's Tower has the most windows including a grand circular window that would be recognizable to anyone familiar with the Sanctum Sanctorum.
