I want to say, having worked crufts the year prior, we were prepared. Of couse, that was not the case. This year we would be working our own project, meeting with owners and groups representing rare and vulnerable breeds (specific to the UK). One of which being the lovely Yakutain Laika, who are now officially recognised by The Royal Kennel Club.
Meet the Breed
I thoroughly enjoyed getting to meet and speak with owners and groups that care so much about the breed they represent. The interview process was a great experience for myself, who has autism and anxiety, to meet new people and broaden my knowlage of lesser known dog breeds. I, suprisingly, enjoyed it, getting to learn and speak about a special interest of mine helped to keep conversation flowing and my anxiety at ease.
Some honerable mentions include the Yakutian Laika, Hungarian Mudi, and my personal favourite the Belgian Groenandael.
Thank you to everyone that was able to interview and participate, and to The Royal Kennel Club for allowing us attend the event to work on the project.
