Stay alert for Strategic Plan updates.
The Forest Lake Area Schools Strategic Plan is a student-centered roadmap built through community input, educator expertise, and long-term vision. It is not a political document — it is a plan for helping every student succeed.
Unfortunately, this thoughtful plan is due to be renewed, so it is danger. The majority of the board currently have dismantled or rewritten every policy they touch to align with personal agendas, and the strategic plan is in their sight.
We believe the community deserves to know what the Forest Lake Strategic Plan actually stands for, why it matters, and why we might need help defending it.
The Strategic Plan outlines clear priorities for the district, including:
High academic expectations
Safe and supportive learning environments
Equity and access for all students
Partnerships with families and the wider community
Responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars
This plan was developed through months of collaboration with teachers, administrators, families, students, and local leaders — not special interest groups.
❌ What It’s Not

It’s not anti-parent or anti-tradition.
It’s not radical — it reflects the mainstream values of our Forest Lake community.
